Deliberative CGA Forum with OH State Sen. Hearcel Craig

Wed., July 15 | 7 - 8:30 pm ET

Connecting to Congress is an independent, non-partisan research initiative led by the Ohio State University. Our mission is to help elected officials hear from a representative cross-section of their constituents, not just from the loudest voices. We facilitate deliberative small-group forums on emerging issues amongst constituents, then report the common ground as well as any concerns of constituents to your State Senator. Your State Senator, Hearcel Craig, is collaborating with our research initiative because he is eager to hear the considered opinion of constituents COVID-19.

How it works: In order to participate in one of these special, invite-only online forums we ask that you first take a pre-survey, which you can access through the link below. You will receive a $5 online gift card for completing this survey, which should take about 15 minutes. You must be a resident of State Sen. Craig’s district in order to participate— check your state senate district here. Participants from zip codes outside the district are not eligible for the forum or the incentive.

Once you complete this initial survey, you will receive an invitation to participate in one of these Common Ground for Action online forums. During these 90-minute forums, participants weigh various options for addressing the issue, as well as their tradeoffs. When our forum series is complete, the data will be analyzed and reported on to State Senator Craig.

If you participate in this forum and complete the post-survey, you will receive an additional $10 added to your online gift card.
